Production (Film Review)


 Today is 4/4/22 and me and my group started our film review. Me and my group asked someone who is not in our group to review our film. We wanted to hear their thoughts about the film, and if any changes needed to be made. So me and my group used my friend Iago to review our film. Me and my group he is a good person to show because he loves films, and he took media studies in the past. I showed Iago the film today in school. Me and my group put all the scenes in order and believe that Iago will like the film. Me and my could not wait for what he has to say. I was mostly curious about what he thought about the music because I thought the music was very good for the film. However me and my group weren't quite finished with the whole film so we needed an opinion on it so far.

 Iago said that the music was very good, and the quality of the scenes were very well. iMovie has very good quality so me and my group expected good quality. But he did not like how certain shots were filmed and how the angles looked. He suggested to make the scenes match the angles. This showed that me and my group have to re-film some aspects of the film. Me and my group are already fixing the mistakes he told us to. Choosing Iago to film review was such a good idea since he has good experience with film. I am very excited to show Iago our final product. His advice was very helpful for me and my group. I believe our film will be well improved.

Production (Editing)

 Today is March 31st; me and my group started editing the scenes we filmed. I went to my group member Charles house to start editing. It will take awhile to edit the scenes and put the music in the film. We got a lot of time on the scenes, so we will need to make sure the film is around two minutes. The first thing I did was trying to find thrilling music to fit the scenes. I found some on YouTube, but I need to make sure I pick the right one. Me and Charles are trying to find a way to make the actors dialogue has higher volume because it is a little low. I believe that we will be able to solve the problem. Our title sequence look very good so far. I edited it to make it look spooky and to fit what the film is about.  I also explored possible animation I can include in the film. But I am not too sure if I will use any because it might not fit with the thriller genre. Charlie will be the main editor throughout this whole process, and I'll be there to help him, and give him advice. M

 Here is the script and sound that our group is using in these scenes! Scene 1: Nick, friend of victim: "they said I'd be right here, where's he dropped off??" Victim: "maybe near the basketball hoop, lets go there to check." Scene 2: Nick, friend of victim: "No way they lied right? we payed!! This is a scam, it has to be." Victim: "uhm nick, NICK" ... Thrilling suspenseful sound track plays. Scene 3: Kidnapper: "They fell for it, the knife, the blood, I have them trapped now" ...Kidnapper leaves premises and steadily run towards nick, and victim. ... suspenseful music continues to play in the background. Scene 4: ... Victim is suddenly swiped, after he notices the alerting objects near the basketball hoop. ... Sound ... white noise begins to play as if the victim blacked out, or was put to sleep.
