AICE MEDIA STUDIES

Scene 1: In this scene, me and my group will film an actor, lying in bed as an alarm clock goes off, this is when the song, will start. This will be an extreme close up shot. Scene 2: After scene one, the next scene will take place in the kitchen of a group mates house, here breakfast will be served, and it will start the day. Breakfast will include food such as eggs, bacon, and juice. This will be a eye level shot that will pan into an extreme close up of the food. Scene 3: In scene 3, my group will film two actors walking around frost park talking, and simply catching up about their day, we will be sure to include happy facial expressions to show the meaning of the song. This will be a wide shot. Scene 4: For scene 4, the basketball will be introduced, at the gateway of the basketball court at the park, where an actor will be questioning, "who will we playing basketball with today". This will be a wide shot. Scene 5: This is when we will start a one on one game of basketbal

  Props: Since my group and I decided to film a music video for the song It Was A Good Day by ICE CUBE, the props we will include is basketballs, slushies from 7-11, and an alarm clock. We will be using other props as well, but they have not yet been determined. Costumes: In the music video, we will have all our group members in the video. For the scene where were at the park, I will wear athletic clothes for when I play basketball. I will wear sneakers, shorts, and a tank top. The actors will wear what they want for the scenes because the music wants to show that the actors are having a good day just being themselves. The music video will show that it like any other good day. Schedule: On 11/12/21: Me and my group research conventions of music videos and the song, It Was a Good Day. On 11/16/21: Me and my group establish props, costumes, schedule, location list, and backup plan. On 11/18/21: Me and my group will have the storyboard for the music video created.   My group is going to do a music video, that is based off of generally having a great day! Full of adventure, using the clean version, and parts of "It Was A Good Day" By Ice Cube! The Music video will feature activities like basketball, waking up, and eating breakfast. Costumes:  For costumes, our group will be using clothing that is somewhat athletic for a basketball scene, pajamas for waking up out of bed, and casual cloths throughout the rest of the music video. Casual, hip cloths are common in old-school rap genre and its correlating music videos. Props : Out team will be using some different props throughout filming. Basketballs, plates, silverware, food or traditional breakfast items are some of the items that will be used throughout our music video. Also, these props and much more are common in typical old-school rap music videos.  I  have three group members. These three group members are very smart students at Fort Lauderdale High School. We will work well as a team to achieve the ultimate goal. The goal is to do well on our AICE MEDIA STUDIES music video. The first group member is named Charles. He is a sophomore and he has known me for a long time. I use to play baseball with him and he went to the same summer camp as me. The goal is for him to edit our music video and act a little bit in it. He will play a great part in our project. The next group member is named Ava. She will draw the story board and come up with the ideas for the music video.   We will try to and on our chemistry during the music video.   My name is Nicholas Pearlman. I go to Fort Lauderdale High School and I am in the 11th grade. My favorite hobbies are biking, playing basketball, and skateboarding. I wanted to take AICE MEDIA STUDIES for many reasons this year. One reason is that I wanted to learn more about films and how they are produced. I also needed to take this AICE class just in case for my Cambridge diploma. I am really looking forward to do the music video. I am in AS media studies, but I might take A level next year. Learning about movies are really fun and I will take what I learn in this class to the real world. My blogs this year will show you my growth throughout the year. My blogs will be time consuming, but they will prepare me for everything I need in this class. I have siblings that also go to Fort Lauderdale High.
