1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?

My product Nike uses and challenges conventions by representing certain topics, characters, and important events. Our product and commercial presents a number of topics such as football, volleyball and other physical activities that show conventions in our product. My product is advertised with characters, actors that represent the company and NIKE clothing as sports wear, for physical activity. Finally, my product groups people together and influences them to take part in these activities with Nike, which shows how I represent a social group while also presenting the issue of many people on the issue of many people not being active.

2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?

My product engages with the audience by inspiring them and motivating them to be active and go outside, and be healthy, while using Nike gear. The product shows the audience that is enjoyable to be active. My products film can be distributed as a real media text through the scenes. Its important to show that it is important to be physical so by writing through the media text helps convey that the product is useful through sports like football or volleyball. 

3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

My production skills developed greatly throughout this project. Before this project, I have never produced any types of media like the Nike commercial. I did not know what to expect. I learned how to film from different angles and distances, I also was able to learn how to act. I learned how to edit and really understand what it was. I know that for the next project, I will use what I learned from this project, and do even better.

4. How did you integrate technologies-software, and online-in this project.

There are many ways were I integrated technologies, software, and online for the commercial. I used Iphone commercial for the project. It helped me understand to use the right angles, filming, and make a quality commercial. I used IMovie to edit the film. This software helped make my commercial clean and presentable. The clips were very sound. This is how integrated the software in my project

 For the first movie that our group researches, we choose a thriller called "Death Wish". Here are some conventions that we found in the blog that we liked, did not like, and overall conventions that we should use in our film. Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. To start, a lot of the angles used have underlining purposes. For example, the antagonist in this film are usually represented with low angles that shows them having power over another subject. To give the film a more modern feel, the costumes worn during the duration was more modern, causal clothing which is something that my group actually liked. Production (music)

 Today is March 7th and me and my group have worked on the music we will use in our film. I have already started the process of using the music in the film that will best fit for the certain scenes. At first, me and my group could not decide what music to use for the film. But me and my group searched different thrilling and establishing music and we found the ones me and my group like best. Me and my group will use establishing music for the beginning of the film. And my film will use thrilling music for climax and important events. Important events such as the kidnapper in our film escaping, and the vehicle driving off. The establishing music will take place for about the first 20-30 seconds of the film and get the film to establish a meaning and help the audience get interested. Convention Research (Skyscraper)

 Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. The angles and the clamps have their own purposes. We liked that the costumes because they were very casual since the movie takes place in a skyscraper. They were also props such as machine guns being shot, during the rising action of the movie. We like that it gives the audience a sense of suspense with the guns being shot. The lighting used since its in a big city gives a thrilling vibe. We definitely want to use a certain lighting in our film. The lighting gives a natural thrilling feel. Finally, we like the sound used in the movie. The sound of suspense attracts the audience which is very good for the film. Conventions that my group didn't like: My group didn't like certain things found in the film.
