Finishing filming the middle scenes of the music video

 



Scenes 3-6

On December 6th, me and my group filmed scenes 3-6 for the music video. Me and my group member Charles filmed these scenes. Me and Charles filmed these scenes at the park. We both were in the scenes and I had my brother help film these three scenes. The props we used was a basketball, and a water bottle. For the third scene, I showed up to the basketball court with my basketball in my hand, and I saw a pickup game going on, and I point as if will join the game. Charles was filming me, this scene created no trouble for us and it only took us one attempt. Since the song mentions basketball, me and my group wanted to have some basketball scenes involved. The next scene, my brother helped me and my group member Charles filmed us playing 1 vs 1 basketball. I pretended to guard Charles, we wanted it to look like we were having fun playing basketball.

We had to wait around 20 minutes for the courts to clear so we can film this scene. It took us a couple tries to get a good shot. For the next scene, Charles filmed me drinking water after playing basketball. Since playing basketball makes you tired, we wanted the scenes to be realistic so made one with me drinking water cooling after having fun playing basketball. This scene only took one try since I was only drinking water. Me and group knew that this scene did not need to be long so we made it only three seconds. The weather was a little hot today, but we push through the heat and met our goal of filming our scenes today. If it rained today, then we would've had to reschedule to a different day to film. Me and my group film again in a couple of days. Me and my group have enjoyed the days we have filmed.

 For the first movie that our group researches, we choose a thriller called "Death Wish". Here are some conventions that we found in the blog that we liked, did not like, and overall conventions that we should use in our film. Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. To start, a lot of the angles used have underlining purposes. For example, the antagonist in this film are usually represented with low angles that shows them having power over another subject. To give the film a more modern feel, the costumes worn during the duration was more modern, causal clothing which is something that my group actually liked. Production (music)

 Today is March 7th and me and my group have worked on the music we will use in our film. I have already started the process of using the music in the film that will best fit for the certain scenes. At first, me and my group could not decide what music to use for the film. But me and my group searched different thrilling and establishing music and we found the ones me and my group like best. Me and my group will use establishing music for the beginning of the film. And my film will use thrilling music for climax and important events. Important events such as the kidnapper in our film escaping, and the vehicle driving off. The establishing music will take place for about the first 20-30 seconds of the film and get the film to establish a meaning and help the audience get interested. Convention Research (Skyscraper)

 Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. The angles and the clamps have their own purposes. We liked that the costumes because they were very casual since the movie takes place in a skyscraper. They were also props such as machine guns being shot, during the rising action of the movie. We like that it gives the audience a sense of suspense with the guns being shot. The lighting used since its in a big city gives a thrilling vibe. We definitely want to use a certain lighting in our film. The lighting gives a natural thrilling feel. Finally, we like the sound used in the movie. The sound of suspense attracts the audience which is very good for the film. Conventions that my group didn't like: My group didn't like certain things found in the film.
