Filming last three scenes and editing music video

 




Scenes 10-12 and editing


On December 10th, me and my group filmed scenes 10-12 for the music video. Me and Charlie filmed these scenes at his house. The props we used was a phone, and a bed. For the 10th scene, me and my group showed Charlies phone and it said, how we had a good day. Me and my group wanted the audience to see that me and group truly had a good day. For the 11th scene, me and my grouped filmed Charlie thinking about all the fun he had today. This scene only took one shoot since it is a two second scene. For the 12th scene, me and my grouped filmed Charlie going to sleep smiling. This scene was at his house and it only took one shot. This was the last day filming for us so we made the best out of it.

 Since we are done filming, it is time to edit the scenes to make the music video. Me and my group finished the editing in one night. Me and Charlie were editing the scenes and it took us about two hours. He mostly edited them but I gave him advice on which scenes to edit and what filters and animations he should create. We edited the music video and it was 1 minute and three seconds. But we realized it need to be at least one minute and thirteen seconds, so me and Charlie made some scenes longer in the edit to reach 1 minute and 10 seconds. I told Charlie to make sure the camera angles are shown he edits the music video. I was at his house when he was editing to give him advice. None of the scenes were difficult to edit. Me and my group had fun editing.

 For the first movie that our group researches, we choose a thriller called "Death Wish". Here are some conventions that we found in the blog that we liked, did not like, and overall conventions that we should use in our film. Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. To start, a lot of the angles used have underlining purposes. For example, the antagonist in this film are usually represented with low angles that shows them having power over another subject. To give the film a more modern feel, the costumes worn during the duration was more modern, causal clothing which is something that my group actually liked. Production (music)

 Today is March 7th and me and my group have worked on the music we will use in our film. I have already started the process of using the music in the film that will best fit for the certain scenes. At first, me and my group could not decide what music to use for the film. But me and my group searched different thrilling and establishing music and we found the ones me and my group like best. Me and my group will use establishing music for the beginning of the film. And my film will use thrilling music for climax and important events. Important events such as the kidnapper in our film escaping, and the vehicle driving off. The establishing music will take place for about the first 20-30 seconds of the film and get the film to establish a meaning and help the audience get interested. Convention Research (Skyscraper)

 Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. The angles and the clamps have their own purposes. We liked that the costumes because they were very casual since the movie takes place in a skyscraper. They were also props such as machine guns being shot, during the rising action of the movie. We like that it gives the audience a sense of suspense with the guns being shot. The lighting used since its in a big city gives a thrilling vibe. We definitely want to use a certain lighting in our film. The lighting gives a natural thrilling feel. Finally, we like the sound used in the movie. The sound of suspense attracts the audience which is very good for the film. Conventions that my group didn't like: My group didn't like certain things found in the film.
