Beginning to film the song- today was a good day

 










Beginning Scenes


On December 2, me and my group have started filming the music scenes. Me and my group were all available to film today. We filmed the first 3 scenes out of 12 today for our music video. I was at my group members house for the first two scenes. I was helping film him when doing the scenes. He had all the props at his house. The first scene I filmed was him sleeping, and then his alarm clock goes off and he wakes up blessed and smiling, and then the song started playing.  It took 15 minutes to get a perfect shot but we got it right. The next scene I helped film him in the kitchen making breakfast, such as eggs, bacon, and juice. Since the song talks about breakfast, we wanted to include a scene where we have a group member having breakfast. This scene was easy to film for us since it was not hard. The last scene I filmed today was at the park. 

Me and my group member were walking around talking about our day. We had happy facial expressions since the song is about having a good day. We had our other two group members help film for this scene. So I went to Charlies house for the first two scenes, and for the third scene, we went to frost park. The weather was perfect today so we had no trouble filming outside. If it was raining outside, our scenes would've looked different. After these three scenes, me and my group were done filming for day. I will film again on Friday at the park again to finish the park and 7-11 scenes. I think we had a really good and fun day filming today.

 For the first movie that our group researches, we choose a thriller called "Death Wish". Here are some conventions that we found in the blog that we liked, did not like, and overall conventions that we should use in our film. Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. To start, a lot of the angles used have underlining purposes. For example, the antagonist in this film are usually represented with low angles that shows them having power over another subject. Production (music)

 Today is March 7th and me and my group have worked on the music we will use in our film. I have already started the process of using the music in the film that will best fit for the certain scenes. At first, me and my group could not decide what music to use for the film. But me and my group searched different thrilling and establishing music and we found the ones me and my group like best. Me and my group will use establishing music for the beginning of the film. And my film will use thrilling music for climax and important events. Important events such as the kidnapper in our film escaping, and the vehicle driving off. The establishing music will take place for about the first 20-30 seconds of the film and get the film to establish a meaning and help the audience get interested. Convention Research (Skyscraper)

 Conventions that we liked: There was a lot of conventions used in this film that our group likes. The angles and the clamps have their own purposes. We liked that the costumes because they were very casual since the movie takes place in a skyscraper. They were also props such as machine guns being shot, during the rising action of the movie. We like that it gives the audience a sense of suspense with the guns being shot. The lighting used since its in a big city gives a thrilling vibe. We definitely want to use a certain lighting in our film. The lighting gives a natural thrilling feel. Finally, we like the sound used in the movie. The sound of suspense attracts the audience which is very good for the film. Conventions that my group didn't like: My group didn't like certain things found in the film.
